Alexandra is at that age where she is becoming a little witty. She will say things that make me laugh all of the time. I always try to write down what she says so that I can remember later. So I've compiled a short list of things she's said recently that were either funny or just sweet.
One day we were doing a craft together and I asked her to do something and she said "Roger that!"
She was playing on the computer and she tells Camden (as if he will listen) "Don't tell me any words Cam, I'm concentrating on my game!"
Alex was building with Legos on the table because they were very small pieces. Camden put a bowl up onto the table and Alex says "Cam gave me a bowl to put my pieces in - how clever Cam!" She told him he was clever. hahahaha. That was the part that made me laugh.
I was sharpening a pencil using Alex's pencil sharpener and she turns to me and says "Mom, you need to ask before you use stuff!!!" (Because I was using HER sharpener and I am always telling her that she can't just use things that are not hers unless she asks!!!!)
She is in this phase where she is playing with her baby dolls, pretending she is pregnant. She put the baby doll up her shirt acting like she was pregnant. She said "I'm having my baby!! I need to get to the Dr-pital!"
Then she was pretending she was having a baby again and said "Oh no! It's cracking out now - I didn't hurry enough. He cracked out of my tummy before I went to the hospital" (I guess she was thinking babies are born by cracking out of their mommies' tummies like birds out of eggs!)
She was then playing with her dolls and she named the girl Lemon and the boy Barnicle. I guess she has been watching Octonauts a lot!
This last thing she said was kind of sad. We were laying in her bed after reading her books at bedtime. She still listens to music to go to sleep and I had said that maybe when she was 5 she wouldn't need songs anymore. Then she says "Don't throw me a birthday party when I turn 5 because I just want to stay little". It just melted my heart. I think it's because I told her about the music and we are always saying how now she is the "big girl". I think she just misses being the little one! So I told her that if she still wants to listen to songs when she is 5 that's just fine!!!!
