38 weeks

38 weeks! 2 more to go!

Today I had another Dr. Appt. They actually had written down on my chart that the 9th or the 10th would be my due date. Today's appointment went well as usual. I was not able to go to the bathroom on demand this time but they said it was ok because every other time they got protein/sugar results they needed and I was not swelling or bleeding or anything. The lady who met with me said that next week they will check me to see if I am effaced. They wait until 1 week to go. So I did not get that information - I suppose I can wait 1 more week! But while she was checking the heartbeat (which was good) I asked if she could tell me what position the baby was in. She said she was head down (yeah Alexandra!!) and showed me where her back and bottom are. So the little lump that some of you have beeing seeing and feeling is her little bottom! It tends to stick out at times.



I can't believe it is getting this close. I have not had any contractions yet or any kind of pain. I am just wondering what they will feel like and when they will start. Chris was out of town last night so I am just glad they didn't start then! I am pretty sure he will be around now from here on out. With July 4th coming up he has some days off which will be nice - we can do some final preparations around the house! We put the car seat in my car Monday so that is another thing down! I already have birth announcements assembled except for the picture and the date, lbs, oz part so all I will have to do is stick on a picture and a label with how much she weighs.



I have been in this cooking mode too. I made whoopie pies and a cherry pie this week I am trying to make Chris some dinners these next few weeks because I know soon I may not feel up to it. I almost have too much food around the house! But I am not worried about that because my appetite is not as big as it was before. In fact, I don't even think I ate dinner last night because I had a late lunch. Plus I am trying to clean out my freezer since my mom is making me frozen meals.



Well that is about all that is going on in our household. I know everytime I post I say I am going to be cleaning......I am just doing it one room at a time.......today I tackle the kitchen! I got a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser mop that I am dying to try out! Well I will say it again - this could be the last "pre-baby" post.....but if not you'll hear more next week!
