3 Months Old

Camden is three months old today! I know I probably say this every month but I can't believe how fast the time has gone once he was born! This month there is not a well baby check-up but I actually did have him there last week because I wanted to make sure he wasn't dehydrated since it seemed he was having some bowel issues. The doctor said he wasn't and seemed fine and not to worry unless he gets a fever, has blood in his stool, or goes excessively during the day.

At 3 months here are things I have  noticed about Camden:

* He is such a wiggle worm now! Whether he is getting his diaper changed, is in the tub,  or is just laying on his activity mat the boy is moving all around (which makes the diaper changes not as quick as before!) He also can't really be swaddled anymore because he wiggles his way out.

* He loves having his diaper changed! He gets a HUGE smile on his face when I change his diaper. I think he likes the free feeling.

* He also LOVES his bath. When I am getting his tub ready for his bath (which he is already getting too long for) I lay him on the bath mat in his diaper. When he hears the water running he kicks and moves his arms really fast and if I say the word "bath" he almost hops off of the floor! I was doing it yesterday for 3-4 minutes to show my mom. I thought the kid was going to roll over he has moving around so much!

* He has rolled over from tummy to back since 2 months old and he is SO close to rolling from back to tummy. He turns his head and rolls over to his side. All he has to do lift his leg over and he'll be on his tummy.

* He loves playing on his activity mat. It is especially fun since he can grab the toys on it and he loves looking into the mirror and talking to the baby (himself!)

* Speaking of grabbing he will grab anything (or try to) in his reach. I found that I  need to be careful now when wearing necklaces and he already got a hold of Amy's hair. When he is eating he grabs my shirt all of the time too.

* Most nights he continues to sleep through the night

* He has really started laughing. Either he thinks I'm funny or funny looking. I'm not sure which.

* He is quite a "coo-er" or talker. One other mom even made the comment that she can tell that I talk to him during the day by the way he "talks back". He will also sound like he is echoing me or singing. I'll sing a few notes like "ah ah ah" and changing the pitch - he will then make a "singing sound" after I sing and we go back and forth.

* When he wakes up in the morning he has the brightest smile on his face.

* He loves watching Alex and she makes him smile all of the time.

* When I pull him up from laying to sitting he keeps his head pretty steady and it isn't bent backwards as I pull him up - he keeps his head even with his shoulders as  I pull him up.

His Stats:
clothing: he wears various sizes depending on the brand. He can fit into 0-3 and 3 month onesies/shirts. For pants he is wearing 0-3.

Diapers: still wearing size 1 and we are finishing up the rest of them and then moving onto size 2 as size 1's are getting snug!

Weight: at the doctor he weighed 12 lbs 10 oz.
