These days we can never leave the farm without some tears - Alexandra just loves going up there. It's like a mini vacation for her because she jumps on the trampoline, takes golf cart rides, stays up later, and usually has some kids to play with. This past weekend we went up to go to the Snyder reunion at Knoebel's. We went up Friday night and came back home on Sunday. When we got there Friday Nana and Papa were out to dinner so Chris, Alex, Camden and I took a golf cart up through the fields. Before Alexandra would never ride on the golf cart but this time she was all for it. She even rode back into the woods. There are all kinds of trails back in the woods to ride through so it's like an adventure for her. Plus along the way you may see deer or get splattered with mud.
Friday evening Alex played and of course stayed up a little later because she slept for 2 hours on the way up in the evening. She went to bed just fine though which is always good!
Saturday we went to Knoebel's and Alex and Alyssa had a fun time riding the rides together. She went on a lot of rides without an adult and enjoyed it all. Camden was wonderful too. He always is though - I can take him anywhere! Then afterwards everyone came back to the farm for dinner and we hung out until later in the evening. The night ended with a bon fire where we roasted marshmallows and had s'mores. This was Alex's first time by a campfire and she really liked it. It seemed like it was really late when we were outside but it was only 8 - a sign that fall is on it's way - less daylight!
Sunday we had a small picnic back at the farm and Aunt Sharon and Uncle Tom came up and Nona met us there as well. Alex and Alyssa had fun playing together and were so cute when they got a bath together. I'm not sure how many laps they did running around the house but I think they got their exercise for the weekend!
Here are some pictures from our weekend:
