The other day after I took Alex to a birthday party we found out that there was a Fall Festival at a local park that we like to go to. And even better we found out it was free! I love free! So we decided to check it out. It was nice just spending some 1-1 time with Alex. Ever since Camden was born I rarely get absolutely 100 percent 1-1 time with her. At the festival we took a hayride out to a field where there were pumpkins and we were able to take a pumpkin home - again -for free! I was about to go spend money on one at a store too so our timing was perfect. Alex picked out the pumpkin and so we took it to our car and then she went and got a balloon animal. Then of course she played on the playground equipment for a bit.
We got home and then later Chris and Alex carved the pumpkin. I brought Camden out on the deck too and put him in his exersaucer. He just loves it outside. He had a good time playing and watching us.
Chris just cut off the top and then they dug out the seeds and pulp. Then Alex drew the face - Chris gave her a dry erase marker and she literally drew two circles for the eyes, a circle for the nose, and then she made the outline for the mouth (Chris added some teeth). She said she wanted a happy pumpkin and it does look pretty happy!
