22 Months

Our little man is going to be 2 in just 2 short months!! It's so hard to believe how fast he is growing up. It seemed to go so much slower with Alex and with Camden it seems like he was just a baby! Nonetheless, it's been fun watching him grown up.

He loves doing everything Alex does and always tells Alex what he is doing, eating, watching, etc. If he's eating a snack he'll say "Alex.....snack", if he's watching Bubble Guppies (his newest obsession) he'll say "Alex......Bubble Guppies" and so on. He really does copy what she does so now we are stressing to her how important it is to be a good example since he is always imitating her.

Camden's vocabulary keeps building more and more. He is saying short phrases often and is able to communicate what he wants. His most recent phrases are:

"want it" (usually while shaking his head) and it means he doesn't want it. I'm trying to get him to just say "no thank you!" because he says thank you already.

"I don't know" - yes, I asked him a question and he told me he didn't know.

"oh no"

"Come here mommy!" (and he usually grabs my hand as he's saying it)

One of the funnies things he's recently done is act like cookie monster. When I asked him what cookie monster says he responds "Mmmmmm cookies" is a deep voice. It's so funny that he changes his voice. He also would do that when he would say "Ho, Ho, Ho" like Santa. I really need to get it on video!!!

He still loves reading books, playing with his trains and cars (and lining them up) and he loves watching Bubble Guppies, Wonder Pets, and Little Einsteins.

He can count to 10 and recognizes a few shapes and colors. The next thing we are working on: the alphabet! He sings the tune but now I want to get him to recognize the letters. We'll see if he is as interested as Alex was. If not, we'll just continue to do what we do and it will all come when he is ready!

Curly cue! As his hair is getting longer it's getting out of control! When I let it dry after being wet it gets so curly!
