This Easter was very special for us and Alexandra. Alex and her cousin Alyssa and a friend of my sister in law's daughter Riley (did you follow that??) got baptized on Saturday night at the Easter Vigil. The service started at 7 P.M. and the girls didn't get baptized until about 7:45. They were all very good for the service. Alexandra would normally go into the nursery and play but that night there was a lady who was not familiar to her so she just wanted to cling to me and she actually drug me out the door and down the steps. So we decided to just keep her with us in church. Well that was interesting. She was great but she went on many walks with Chris to keep her entertained. She did VERY well during the baptism as well when Rev. Mark was holding her. I think the water he rubbed on her head felt good because it was like 100 degrees in the church (or maybe it just felt that way because I was nervous!!)

I wasn't sure how it would go because during rehearsal she just wanted to walk around and didn't want anything to do with Rev. Mark holding her! But during the service she did great. After the regular church service started then she made us laugh. While we were praying and everyone was silent she would giggle and say "funny!" and then whenever we would sing a song she would say "yay!" after we were done. I took her up to the nursery then and stayed with her and Alyssa until the end of the service.

Afterwards, the congregation had a reception for the girls and we were able to chat with everyone and have some good food. It was 9:30 when we left and Alex was still up! She fell asleep as soon as we moved the car. She must have been tired because she slept until 8 am the next morning.
