To get over to Magic Kingdom we had to take a ferry ride and it was really neat when we got close and you could see the castle.
We started off the morning with a breakfast with Disney characters. We had a breakfast buffet with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore. We could get our breakfast and the characters made their rounds for hugs, pictures, and autographs. Alexandra loved all of them except Eeyore. She wouldn't get out of her seat to go see him - no problem though - I wasn't going to make her if she was scared. At the end of breakfast the characters had a parade where the kids could follow. Alex still talks about her breakfast with characters. Anytime I talk about breakfast she will say "remember when we ate breakfast with characters???"
After that we made our way over to the castle to catch a show with the princesses dancing and saw Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy. Then we
just walked around the park riding rides and eating. I was wondering if Alexandra would ride rides because last summer she wouldn't ride at Knoebels but when we went to Hershey Candy Lane in November she rode rides all night. Well she did ride lots of rides, even rides that went up high in the air. I guess she is over the ride fear. She rode on the Aladdin magic carpet ride, the carousel, went up into the Swiss Family Treehouse, Peter pan ride, Winnie the Pooh ride (which she talks about all of the time too!) and we went to a 3D show which she didn't like as much. Chris ended up taking her out of the theater because she was scared.
We also went into It's a Small World which was very cool and took a walk around Mickey's Toon Town where we went inside Minnie and Mickey's house. After we stood in line to Meet Mickey and Minnie.
After spending the day at the park we then went to Hollywood Studios in the evening to see the Christmas Light Spectacular, and it was so neat. The main street of the studio was covered from top to bottom in colorful lights and the lights danced to music. Alex didn't care for the music part because it was too loud for her I guess but we all thought it was so neat! We ate dinner there and walked around for a bit and then called it a night. We usually left the parks around 5 or so and came back to our "vacation house" as Alex called it to relax for the evening. After a full day of walking and being 7 months pregnant my feet and back were just a little tired!!!!
Magic Kingdom is so big that you need to either spend 2 days there or go from like 8 am to 8 pm!!! I'll post more about our second day at Magic Kingdom later but for now here are some pictures for Day 1.
