This past weekend was really fun for our family. Nana and Papa came down for the weekend to visit and we went to the Philadelphia Zoo on Saturday and then Chris, Papa, Alex, and I went to a Phillies game Sunday.
At the zoo we decided to buy a family pass because if we go just one more time for the next year we will get our money's worth. So now we have a year long pass plus free parking and on the pass we get in 2 adults + 2 kids for free. Alexandra always loves going to the zoo. This was Camden's first time . Not that he really was up and about to see the animals but it was still a nice day outside. The weather was great - sunny and high 70's. Camden was in the stroller a lot or was carried. I took my Snugli baby carrier and carried him around for a bit. Sure enough, he fell asleep in it as he usually does. Alexandra would never stay in it - she always cried so it's nice that he will stay in it because it free's up my hands but I can still carry him. We were at the zoo for the majority of the day and as soon as we got into the car Alexandra was out - she fell asleep with Pooh Bear in her mouth. Camden on the other hand was wide awake and I ended up feeding him in the car by reaching back from the passenger seat with a bottle. A little uncomfortable for me but he didn't care because he was eating!
On Sunday when we went to the game I was wondering how Alexandra would do. Well she was wonderful. We went into the stadium and had some lunch before finding our seats. All kids under 14 got a free shirt - of course the size was Large and it won't fit her until she is like 20 or something but it made her happy! Then we walked around the stadium and got Alex a pink Phillies hat. After that we headed to our seats and when we got to them and Alex sat down she had the biggest smile on her face. She was really good at staying in her seat for the first 4 innings. We shared a box of popcorn and she kept getting in the box and handing it out to Papa, Chris, and I. Then she was getting a little antsy after about 4 innings. Luckily she was able to get up and stand or walk in front of our seats. Chris went and got some cotton candy and I asked him to get her one of those foam fingers thinking it would entertain her. It did entertain her but I was so worried that she would keep hitting the people in front of us! He also got her a Phillies Phanatic stuffed animal. She was a happy camper!
We left after 7 complete innings and when we got to the car she fell asleep (just like Saturday) but this time she fell asleep with all of her goodies in her car seat.
When I was laying with her before she went to bed I asked her about her day and she was talking about how she liked the game and all of the stuff she got. Yeah, it was a very fun weekend!
Asleep in the car
She wanted to carry her T-shirt around
She looks like she is concentrating
Enjoying the popcorn
Our seats in right field
Eating a lollipop that she mooched off of the people in front of us
Yummy cotton candy!
Would have been a better family picture if Alex wasn't holding her nose!

I think the penguins were Alex's favorite. She kept laughing as we were watching them
