First Trip to the Beach This Year

This year I am lucky enough to go to the beach 3 times. A few weekends ago we all went down to Aunt Denise's and Uncle Gary's house for a visit an we went to the beach two days. We went straight to the beach on a Friday morning and stayed there until late afternoon then went back to go swimming in the pool since the temps were over 100 degrees with the heat index. That evening we also went to an outdoor concert at 7 PM. Camden was up the whole time but he just wanted to walk around the whole time! After we returned Nana and Papa arrived and we just hung out and did some night swimming.

The next morning we woke up, had a wonderfully cooked breakfast, and headed to the beach again. Chris, the kids and I stayed again until late afternoon and we had a good time. Alex loved playing in the sand and just getting her feet wet with the water. She didn't really want to go  in the water unless we carried her. Camden, on the other hand, wanted to be standing in the waves as they crashed and got upset when we took him out of the water. He liked playing in the sand too. He didn't really try to eat it which was good! One thing he didn't do on the beach was nap! We tried to get him to lay down and Chris was able to get him to nap a bit on Saturday. Me, I had no such luck!

Sunday we woke up and went to Cracker Barrel for lunch and then to the outlets for about a half hour and then headed home. We are only about 2.5 hours away so it was a nice trip!
