Those of you who really know me and how I am will not be surprised to just read about random things that pop into my head. I tend to think of something and just start ranting about it (without transitions right Nay) so here are some of things I have been thinking about.
Ever since I have gotten this small belly I like to pre-plan my outfits just to make sure everything fits. Before I would just get up in the morning, get a shower, go to my closet, pick something quick and I go on my merry little way. Well that stopped when one morning I went to try on some of my shirts and pants and they just didn't fit. So now each night I take a few minutes to try out a couple possibilities. Well tonight I was trying on sweaters and such and saw I had a few maternity shirts that I bought a few weeks ago. Of course a few weeks ago they were really big and the belly part did not "fill out". Well it is finally starting to. I feel like I have grown even a little in the past week. So I am wearing my first maternity shirt to school tomorrow - hopefully it looks ok! And on a side note I wish spring would just get here because I am sick of wearing the same old black and gray pants!!! I am ready for bright colors again!
In other news...I told my kids that I am having a baby. Of course in first grade they all kind of just stared at me and then started telling stories of people they knew who were pregnant and anyone who had a birthday in July or knew someone who had a birthday in July made sure to tell me with the possibility that our baby would have the same birthday. I told the kids that later this month we will predict what we are having and that I would tell them at the end of the month.
We also registered this weekend only because Chris works so much during his "busy season" and I wanted to catch him on a weekend when he was actually here! So we did the major stuff there at Babies R Us and then I finished up online. I even started clearing out the "Winnie the Pooh" room to get ready to take down wallpaper and paint. I know this too may seem early but I think you can never be too prepared AND I want to help out while I can and feel like it!
And one more thing that my friends who are teachers will totally understand - today we had our 100th day of school - woohoo! Up until this day we have been counting up to get there - but for me - now it is the COUNT DOWN! 80 more days! I enjoy my class this year but this year especially I will be looking forward to June because that means only 1 month until our little one arrives. It is wonderful to have something to look forward to!

alison,
..loved your blog especially the pics, your random-rambling thoughts, and acts of stupidity! But I think that soap you put on your toothbrush was not an accident-- I'll bet you said a few naughty words when you slipped and then knew you should go wash your mouth out with soap! PS.. You looked so cute in your maternity top today. dianef
