This year for Easter we decided to go up to Nana and Papa's house again. Just a year ago Alexandra was baptized - it's hard to believe a year has gone by since that occasion. (Alexandra now likes to play dress up with her christening gown). We went up Thursday evening because Chris wanted to ride his motorcycle Friday but the weather had other plans. It rained Friday and part of Saturday. He did get to go riding though Saturday evening and Sunday morning. On Friday Amy came over in the afternoon to hang out and then we went to the mall to get Alexandra's picture with the Easter Bunny at the mall. I'm a little disappointed though at the picture - they only took a few and her face was weird in them because she was saying "cheese" and you can tell by her lips. Oh well I guess.
Saturday we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at Lonnie and Dale's house. Each year they have an egg hunt for all of their grandkids and they invited us to come - Alex had a lot of fun! She did really good finding eggs and liked looking in them to see if there was candy in them. Then afterwards we had a nice lunch with the best kettle fried chicken I've ever had! (Well it's the first time I've had kettle fried chicken but man it was so good!!) Alex liked just playing afterwards and finding fish in their pond. Little mister Camden slept the whole time! He fell asleep at 10:30 when we left to go over and didn't wake up until we were home for a half hour (around 2:00). Later that evening I hid eggs in the yard for Alex to find since she liked finding them. I did this about 3 times before we headed inside.
Then Sunday Alex went and got her Easter Basket and I think on Sunday she ate more chocolate in the morning than she has in one day and so I decided to take the chocolate out of her basket! We hung out at Nana and Papa's for a bit and then headed to Aunt Sharon's and Uncle Tom's for brunch. We had a good meal and enjoyed seeing everyone. After we left we went back to Nana's for a while and Chris got a power nap and then we headed home. It was a nice weekend - just wish the weather would have been bright and sunny instead of grey!
