The Similarities and Differences Between Two Siblings

From the beginning of my pregnancy with Camden I thought that he was going to be a total opposite of Alex. During my pregnancy with him I had a little morning sickness, really bad hip pain, pulled groin pain near the end, I felt more uncomfortable, and I carried him lower. With Alex I had none of that and I carried her high.

Well now that he is born I find there are some things that are just like Alex and some that are totally different.

Differences:
- after birth besides his first cry (which you WANT to hear because it means they are breathing) he didn't hardly make a peep. Even when he went to the nursery and we were on our way to our room we stopped by to take a look and he was sound asleep as the other 13 babies were screaming their heads off.

- This continued in our hospital room - the boy was just so quiet and hardly cried at all. Even after being circumsized he came back to my room totally peaceful and sleeping.

- Alex cried more (and louder) during our hospital stay

- Camden isn't a fan at all of getting in the car seat (Alex instantly fell asleep each time and sometimes I would put her in just to calm her down)

- Camden doesn't care for the swing or bouncer or tummy time at this point (Alex seemed to not mind all of these things)

- Camden slept through the night for 6 hours at a few days old (and usually takes really good naps) Alex didn't sleep for 6 hours for like 1-2 months. And she STILL struggles with really good naps sometimes.

- Camden seems to just love being held (I guess all babies do but with Alex I could lay her down for a while and she'd be cool with that)

Alex spit up quite often - Camden not so much!

Similarities:

- they both were gassy babies!! I am even giving Camden some gripe water for his tummy which really seems to help him out.

- they both always had the hiccups

- they both would sleep in the same position (hands up near face)

- they both liked baths

- they both are cutie patooties!

So really that is all I can think of but it will be interesting to see how different (or similar) to Alex Camden is. Alex has a wonderful personality, sense of humor, is well mannered, and generally listens and follows directions (I say generally now because she is 2.5 and we've been going through some of her wanting to show her independence and she has been showing her argumentative side)

I can't wait to see what his personality will be like too!
