Alexandra had a second Dr. appointment on Wednesday to see if she had gained any weight since her discharge. At birth she weighed 6 lbs 12 oz, at discharge 6 lbs 7 oz, and at the doctor's office Saturday she still weighed her birth weight. Since I have been nursing her the doc said we should see her gain some weight. Well we did! She is now my 7 lb turkey. Still small and some newborn clothes are even still big on her but I guess that means maybe we will get more than one use out of them.
She has been awake quite often and so we have been enjoying some tummy time, swing time, and just cuddle time when she is awake. She has been eating and sleeping pretty consistently too. One night this week she was up at night with Chris until 1 am but then after I fed her she slept until 6:30 - which meant that I got about 4.5 hours of sleep in a row which is a big deal! Last night again she was back to our normal bed at 9 schedule and so I am very happy so far with her sleeping and eating patterns.
Last night we took our first walk and she enjoyed it! I enjoyed it too except for the part where I got a big blister on my foot from my flip flop!
Here are a few more pictures that I took over the past couple of days. I've been trying to get a good shot for the birth announcement cards that I am sending out but its very hard to get her to look right at me, take the picture, and still have her with her eyes towards the camera.

Those pics are great - I say the last one is a great candidate for a birth announcement picture!
Glad to hear she has packed on some weight!
