Play Date

Last week I went to my moms house in Milton to visit her and to see my good friend Varissa. Varissa's brother and sister in law have twins who are about 2 months older than Alexandra so we were excited to get together for a play date with them. Alexandra really never played with other kids before (or toddlers) anyways. (Doesn't that sound sad???) Everyone has always been alot older than her so she plays alot with adults and with anyone who will interact with her. She just loves seeing other kids though. We were lucky enough to have a play date with Clara and David Bender (who are just too cute!!!). We went over to the Bender house and Alex made herself right at home by starting to play with some of their toys while they were still eating their snack. Once they were done with their snack we played ball and then headed to the sun room which had alot of toys that Alex doesn't have. She was having such a good time playing!!! The kiddos would push each other in the stroller back and forth, playing with baby dolls, and taking rides on the rocking horse. Sometimes they would just find something to play by themselves but when one of them saw that another one was having some fun they would join in. It was neat watching Alexandra interact with other kids her age. I am happy she did a good job sharing and didn't get upset at all. After being inside for a bit we headed outside and they got on the see-saw and went down the slide. After about an hour play date it was time to go home because Alexandra was getting a little tired since she missed her morning nap. So as soon as we hit the car she was out (and probably worn out!) But I just wanted to say a big thank you to the Benders for having us over! We will definitely have to meet up again next time we are in Milton. And good news - by that time Alexandra will be walking - she is already starting to...but that will be in another post!
